Mission Statement

MPPOM is a non-profit organization that provides support and encourages the exchange of information, ideas and experiences relating to the birth and care of multiples on the San Francisco Peninsula.
The purpose of this organization is to build parenting skills for expectant and current parents of multiples through educational programs and peer support; and to assist financially disadvantaged families of multiples through our philanthropic services.
Welcome!

Whether you have twins or just found out that you will be having twins, triplets or more the Mid-Peninsula Parent of Multiples welcomes you!  We are a diverse group of parents who share the joys and challenges of raising multiples.  The Mid-Peninsula Parents of Multiples provides support, education, and friendship.  We offer meetings and programs for the different stages of parenthood.

If you just found out that you’re having multiples (congratulations!), we invite you to attend our pregnancy support group that provides a forum for expectant parents to exchange information and get their questions answered by those who’ve been through this experience.  We also offer support and fun social gatherings for new parents of twins, parents of twin toddlers, preschoolers, and even parents who have another child or children in addition to the twins.  Our club also offers a program called “Helping Hands.” Helping Hands is a philanthropic program that helps those who are having difficulty managing the financial burden of multiples. The program provides families with donated clothing and equipment and a free one-year club membership.  We invite you to attend one of our meetings and see what the club is like for yourself.

If getting out of the house with your children is next to impossible or you are juggling a career with twins/triplets parenthood, we invite you to take advantage of our active online forum where many parents exchange tips and advice and/or sell items that their kids no longer need.

Come and share your experiences with other parents of multiples.  While parenting is a right of passage and many new moms feel like they’ve “joined a club”, by becoming a parent of twins or more you join a unique league of your own.

The Mid-Peninsula Parents of Multiples offers an opportunity to get to know those other “club members” better and to share what at times can be overwhelming and, at other times, deeply gratifying experience of raising multiples.  You many even meet a few people that become great friends. We hope you join our community!
